Pioneering a New Culture in Distribution Since its first opening in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at the Gangbyeon store on April 1, 1998, Lotte Mart expanded from the Lotte Magnet Business Division to the Lotte Magnet Business Headquarters in November 1999, and separated into an independent management system in April 2003. On February 9, 2010, it acquired 14 GS Mart stores, renaming them to Lotte Mart starting June 1 of the same year.

Since then, it has expanded nationwide and actively entered the international market, operating 175 stores worldwide (111 domestic and 64 international) as of 2023. The VISION of Lotte Mart is to be the No.1 Grocery Market.
